• Early Life & Career
  Born in 1975 in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Chaykin is entirely self-taught. After initially pursuing telecommunications, he served in the army before dedicating himself to clockmaking, crafting his first clock in 2003 from scratch.

  In August 2024, Chaykin unveiled the ThinKing, a groundbreaking prototype that may be the world’s thinnest mechanical wristwatch at just 1.65 mm thick, surpassing even Bulgari’s record. The ThinKing & PalanKing prototype was later sold by Phillips in May 2025 for CHF 508,000
